MY FIRST GROW - diary - snow white fem from nirvana seeds

this is my first diary so any feedback, help or advise would b very welcome and appreciated...

i will be growing snow white fem seeds from nirvana seeds, which i have heard have a good rep,...

has any1 every grown these and had good results?

also any info on when to start feeding nutes?

what lighting schedule is best to maximis yeild?

also what watering schedule to use in the wilma 4 pot drip system?

I had bad luck with Nirvanas Snow White.
Careful you dont over nute they are a little shy.

Couple things,

Lighting, 18/6 is best. you can go 24/7 while young but I think I have had better results with 18/6.

Feeding starting from seed, no nutes untill second set of leaf or two weeks.
Start 1/4 strength first week, then up to 1/2 strength and see how they do.

You want your medium to dry slightly between waterings. While young they dont use much water. I water about a teaspoon or 5 mil every other day the first week. Then every day the second week. By the third week I put them on a timer and water once a day for 30 min. by the end of the month I drip 30 min twice a day.

Check on them twice a day the first couple weeks. after that once a day.
works for me.

yes they germinated in 2 days: 4 out of 4 success rate, and they r growing strong... i would recomend nirvana seeds to any1, they have a good rep and also fast and secure delivery....

week 1.

all 4 of the babies sprouted on mon 26/10/09 and they r now about 2" tall and growing strong under 18 hours of light. cant believe how stable everything is, ph is 5.9 and ec is 1.40 after a quarter stength feed, going to keep feeding them at 1/4 strength n see how they get on. tempreture is good 75f/78f during lights on, 60f/65f during lights off. humidity is at 52%...
they r due there first water change on wed 4/11/09..cant wait to see what happens over the next week or so, pure EXCITEMENT.
will keep every1 posted and should have some pic's up soon so pls keep following my progress.

well 3 of the four are growing well second set of leaves are growing well, but 1 of the liitle girls is poorly and im not sure if shes gonna make it, so i have decided to germ another 1 2nite just in case she is dead in the morn.........oh well u win some and u lose some. not quiet sure what happened really she ws growin well, then suddenly she started to look ill, she was bending just under the first set of leaves also she was wilting and had stoped growing..i will post when i know what is happening....

picture 1 is the poorly plant, she looks a little worse 2day as these pictures were taken yesterday.......

well what a week we lost some seedlings last week, GUTTED. we now have 2 strong plants that doing quite well apart from a bit of nute burn so we nocked the nutes back and we have turned the wilma system off, feeding by hand to see how they get on for a week.
also a freind of mine told me that we would get a bigger yeild from 2 or even 1 plant under a 400w hps, is this correct? he reckons i could get 400g dry if the plant had optimal conditions, is this correct?
also i am a bit concerned about the humidity just before and after the lights go off, as the humidity raises up to about 70% it does'nt stay there for long but im just a bit worried, could some 1 ease my nerve's, lol. anyway i think they are doing ok and im sure that the nute burn will back off a little as it is not getting any worse.
cant wait for week 3 as they are starting to grow very quick, ahh my little babies all grown up. hahahahaha

well the babies have both been topped last week and are doing really well, the lower first leaves are still very yellow but the new growths are green so i am not that concerned. thought that topping was going to stun them but both seem to be coping very well. 1 is still really short and bushy, and the other is tall and not so bushy....really looking foward to the next few weeks as they are growing really fast now, faster than they have since i started as i think we finally have everything stable......

hi all,

so far so good, last weekend i done a water and nute change, cleaned the res fully. this time we added 1/6th strength nutes as we were still getting some burn on the tips of the leaves. apart from that everything else is good, we reckon another 2-3 weeks veg then they will be ready to go......

well we decided to move the light closer yesterday (17-12-09) to 18" from the tops of the plant. and my god have we noticed the difference already, thought i would just share some more pic's so here go's.

p.s going to do a water change tomorrow (sat 19-12-09) as the res is starting to get a bit low, we will not be changing the water again until we change over to flowering nutes....
