My first flower... Comments/suggestions welcome! (PICS!!)

Well,

I'm 2 weeks into my first grow/flower. I started with some bagseed (merely to see if I could do this) and ended up with one female which went into flower between 20-24".

I'm using a 150w HPS, and I think things are going well. I plan on adding a UVB in the last 2 weeks to increase resin production.

QUESTION: I've seen flowering takes 6-8 weeks or so. Any suggestions on when to harvest?

Any tips or comments for a rookie would be greatly appreciated.

What most people do is check the trichomes for their color. You can buy a mini microscope at radio shack or even a magnifying glass with a digi cam will work. Google search for trichome chart and it will explain it to you.

I wouldnt harvest unless the trichomes appear as desired even if I was on week 10. Depending on the strain and conditions it vary's dude and you learn by experience.

Good luck with getting help on here. It seems people will only voice in if people are dangling +rep in front of their faces so your experiences will teach you best.
 
Those are pretty small. You say 6-8 weeks of 12/12? \
What about nutes you been giving some?
I would say go by Pistils, being a first time grow.
Your buds will swell and the pistils (hairs) will start to turn amber and then they will start dieing back. When they get half way down thats when to harvest.

WOW, Golden, those look awesome!!!

Today is day 14 for her. Those pics I took were from day 12 of 12/12.

When does the "explosion" usually happen? Week 3-4?

Grow big is for veg. But I do use a N supplement in the middle of 12/12.
Are you sure your not useing Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom?

Kactus, it sounds like you are not following the chart completely.

In combination to each other grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom work great.

Following the chart week by week will give you a good foundation to hone in what you want to change next time around.

Thanks! I've been using Big Bloom and Grow Big to schedule. I haven't used Tiger Bloom though.

Actually heading out to buy some now.. I hope it's not too late.

Never too much to help another Fox Farm brotha out.

Yeah out of the three tiger bloom is only used twice out of the whole schedule i believe. Big bloom is used the most then Grow Big.

Be careful with which grow big you get, there are two versions of it. The green bottle has a higher concentration than the light blue one.

I'm stoned And could be wrong,buut are you saying that you use big bloom Before Grow Big?

This is the correct line up, from left to right, Open sesame first and tonight I just started useing Cha Ching and no more Beasti Bloomz.

I use Tiger Bloom over Big bloom because Big Bloom is just bat guano and such. I won't buy another bottle nex grow, when it's gone that's it. I think it's a waste.
