flora nova, sounds like a purchase!
joker get atleast 4 x 42 w cfls so you keep ur plants real squat plus good fan on them and start off 1/2 dose wit the nova oh ya 1 1/2 weeks before flowering give your roots a little hair cute not a gang but enough good luck bro :peace: 420

i got a 18" fan and the largest one is now 7 inches. I'm using 2 100W and 1 120W bulbs.
those are good but the 42w=150 w = 2,700 lumens each 8.00 a piece best cfls for growing: ag deluxe 4,800 lumens + 4x 42 w =15,600 lumens directly on the ag deluxe monster growth ,,,:peace:420

I been in flower about a week on my two survivors..which as some might recall was born in the AG and transferred to Hempy Buckets a few weeks ago. One is a lot bigger than the other. I have removed the grow surface and res from the AG and set a big aluminum hotel sized pan where the res used to set within which set the two Hempy Buckets. I am using the AG lights Pro 200 with 4 42 watters I think and have about 6 cfls dangling around the edges (3 100 watters 1700 lumens and 3 150 watters 2700 lumens each). Have the lights in a timer and trying to maintain 12/12 to flower. Was poking around in there last night and noticed the AG lights wasnt burning. Not sure how long that non sense been going on. I hit the lights on button on the control panel and the lights came back on. I thought they were being powered through the timer but apparently the control panel on the AG still have some influence on when they burn. Anybody got any idears on that? Secondly as soon as I can figger out whether I got boys or girls I want to crank the AG back up in its orginal configuration (them hempy buckets are just too messy) and if I wind up with a lady try to clone and do the total grow with the AG. Figger if I get the timing down right I could do the cloning at the same time as the harvest from the Hempy Buckets..whew. Anybody got any tips for me on the best strategy to use to make the little beast clone stuff and continueth on to maturity? I know it prob somewhere in the FAQ but I been drinking and smoking today. Mind aint sharp enough to find it despite looking hard. Thanks.

I feel like a butcher....

So i chopped down the two giant trees i had growing in my window. They were super stretched out and overall unwieldy. I planted the extra seeds i had in the dirt to compare my grow progress in the AG. Needless to say, i have learned ALOT about plants in general both from here and the whole experience.

They did not get hacked in vain however. I made myself a little aero cloner in a cabinet. i took 3 good cuttings from each plant. I also put two cuttings in my AG which has two female plants in flowering (im pretty sure both window plants were female, but i wanted to see if the whole cutting from a plant put on 12/12 works as an experiment). Also, I left one plant with one node and one with none. I figured it would also be a good experiment to see how each recovers if they can.

The only thing i put in the cloner's water was about 2 drops of superthrive. I used cloning gel on each plant and scarred the ends. They all immediately began to wilt (within 2 min) I assume this is normal as if I were that plant, i know i would be in shock :)

I also took a new pic of the two plants in the AG. They have been generally healthier since i started using my premixed nutes when watering. I also recently enclosed the rest of the area in mylar and built a cage so I could hang the top AG light.

Any comments or suggestions ?

Looking mighty tasty to me. I been out smoking some dried out fan leaves from a trimming a few weeks back. I is nearly out as you might guess.

Lol dude jacky omg! hahaaha i wont laugh too much cause way back before i started growing and i heard about cloning i thought that you used the fans leaves too...then i read more and grew and realized what part you really use to clone...and its not the fan leaf!

hahaha thats so funny tho in your pics...im sorry...

well let me explain to you cloning...

when you clone, you use the part of the plant that grows from the corners of where the fan leaf stem meets the main stalk stem....that growth is pretty much its own marijuanan plant...and thats why if you cut it, and pop it into somthing to grow in...youll get anohter plant...

a grow done right should have some of these side stems (cloning stems) or nodes as big as the main stem around 3 weeks from seed, its much easier to clone when your using a branch this big and full of growth...one that looks like a mini pot plant

Get the picture now?

Where did you think the new growth was going to come from on that fan leaf? haha think about it...

Peace

I quickly went to the box i tossed the plants into (glad i didnt toss em entirley yet)

I salvaged what i could. Do you think these have any chance? They are cuttings from the main stem (with a node at each top)

I threw all the fan leaves into a place to dry.

that all depends on your effort. they look strong and green still so that might be a plus.

you have to figure that taking clones and starting clones is a big enuff stress on the clone that they need to have some kind of back up storage in them to give them a chance a re-rooting.

SO, with the main stem being as big as they are you should have enuff stored energy and food for those little leaves to continue to grow.

ALSO, you should have used a CLONING POWDER and SPLIT the ends of the stalks.

research cloning powders. gels and additives. i read here that powders are the best to use because they "gel" up and stick to the plant where as gels seem to get watered down and are less effective.

SPLITTING the stems of the main stalks and "roughing up" the expected rooting area is to help cell growth in that manner.

if you can do those three things you should be ok. don't over water i think and minimal lights for a low stress environment.

I did use cloning gel on each stalk and "roughed up" the ends of each cuttings.
I did that even when i used the fan leaves :)

Hey everybody I haven't been on in awhile and I've got horrible news... I had to toss my plants. I didn't have the money for a carbon exhaust fan and they just smelt too good to stealth grow in my apt. I'm moving to a diff place in July so please believe I'll be at it again. Peace for now and good growing to all.
