I talked with commercial growers about cloning Chrysanthemums, because I can't talk to anyone about cloning cannabis. So anyway this is what I learned:

Pros like to clone in rock-wool cubes or peat cubes for convenance. But they have to water with added nuteints. Also, they use rooting hormone like Rootone. They clone many starts and have some losses. I prefer to clone in in a potting soil and vermiculite mix. I only use ph adjusted water for a couple weeks. Then slowly add a little nutrient in the water. Also, the more light, the better. My method is slower, but works pretty well for an amateur.

One big difference is this. Cannabis is a hollow reed plant. The center green stalk has to be stuffed with rooting hormone to prevent air from entering the plant wound.

Look in gardening books on starting mums and begonias. It's about the same as cannabis plants.

is boiled water cooled down as good as ph adjusted water. mite sound like a daft question but im just asking?...

I believe the ph would still be the same it would just be distilled water because you boiled it. You'd be better of just getting some ph adjuster.

Depending how long you boil it the pH may change as well as the EC since you're evaporating some of the water in the boiling process. Whatever is in the water will become more concentrated.
