My DIY portable Scrog screen prototype. Your critiques appreciated.

Hello

I am just finishing up my first grow and have decided to go with a scrog for my second grow I built a 2.8x.2.8 scrog to fit in my 35x35inch tent two days ago but have been trying to figure out how to water/train my plants particularly those in the back.
So today I was bored as hell in class and had an idea on how to solve the problem I quickly designed this setup and ran to home depot afterwards to get the supplies to build it. The dimensions of the screen are 16x16 the netting openings will be 2x2 and made out of speaker wire and the height from the plant will be adjustable. The sides of the screen will be attached to the pot in a different manner if I continue with this idea but for illustrative sake I just taped them up. My question is do you think that the screens in this setup would be large enough or will they be too small to effectively scrog with 4 plants in these contraptions? My understanding from research is that plants need 1sqft of space in a scrog but that just seems a little small to me.

Some info about my setup

Sorry if this is jibberish its midterms :-(

Looks good. This is how i did all of my scrogs. My setup was kinda the same, i just had rectangular tubs in a row, i did as you did, small pv pipe scrog frame with rose wire stuff (the 3mm green stuff that comes in a roll) and just cable tied it to the pvc. Worked great, meant i could pull each plant out if i wanted to.

With regard to scrogging and size, it can be anything. Sure it seems that larger scorgs are more productive, but you do what you have room for. I still got great results from mine and they were i think 30cm x 20cm. While at this size you could realistically get away with just topping lots and adding support, with my buckets, the scrog frames offered the most convenient support and at the same time offered the ability to scrog :)

I use this set up too. works great. Try putting the pipe legs inside the bucket and filling it with your grow medium. no need for tape or other things to keep the screen in place.

Thank you for the info guys. What do you think an ideal height above the rim of the pot would be 10-12 inches maybe?
Depends upon the strain and your style. I grow Kali Mist from clone and I set my screen about 10" from the medium. That works well for me.
