my cotyledons are turning yellow what do i do? +rep

do nothing.. this is completely natural.. as you plant ages, some older leaves may yellow and fall off, and since the cotyledons are the first " leaf" that the plant makes, they are the first to go.. nothing at all wrong with your plants, perfectly natural...

Well for me, it was a sign of my demise. I toasted my seedlings in MG soil, and the first sign was yellow cotyledons. Yes, they are supposed to die off, but mine died almost instantly, so it depends where you are at your veg growth.

I don't want to freak you out, but my very recent experience was that MG soil is too toxic to seedlings, and yellow cotyledons were my first indication.

How old is your plant? If you've got multiple nodes then the cotyledon leaves will naturally yellow up because the plant doesn't need them anymore.
