My clone might need help?

I took this clone off a friends plant about a 5 days ago now and have been using the water in a cup method. The bottom 2 fan leave are starting to turn brown and curl under on the larger leaf tips, I am assuming this is normal as its just taking the nutes it has to produce roots. I have noticed 1 hair thin white thing coming from the plant near where I cut but not any root bumps.

It has been under 18/6 since I took the cutting, it has been producing more pistils from the top and is still a healthy green on the upper fan leaves but it kinda droppy which I am also thinking is normal for this method.

Here's a few pics lemme know what you guys think, thanks!IMAG0092.jpgIMAG0093.jpgIMAG0091.jpg

I have a question. Where did you learn the water in a cup method? It doesn't seem to be working. If it were my plant I would get rooting gel pronto, make a clean cut and cut off the bottom fan leaves. Plant into your usual soil mix. Keep it very moist, mist a lot. A humidity dome or some Saran wrap contraption would help too.

I have a ghetto dome (a cut off from a 20 oz dr. pepper bottle) that I keep over the plant, I read the method on this site and have been following the steps, just not changing the water daily, I usually do it every other day at the most.

Also I do have some rapid rooters but no root hormone, would shoving it in one of them work or should I get some hormones first?

Rapid rooters is not a root hormone. Its just a root stimulant. The hormones come in gel types and powder types. Both work well.

the cloning gel or powder is what you need but if your on a budget buy some honey and use that I've used it for a while and have had a good success rate, but yes you need to get it going cover it in some suran wrap and mist them not to much give em a minte then put it in a dixie cup or straight to a small pot
