My cfl veggy bin check it out AND WHAT U GOT?! lots of pics!

Hey everyone my girl has got about 4 more weeks of flower and i want to start my next batch but iv only got one closet and its currently on 12/12 not ideal for vegging odviously:-P so to get my seedlings to beef up i need a vegging room so i decided to make a vegging bin out of the largest rubbermaid bin i had laying around and heres what i came up with...​

DSCN1784.jpgHeres the cfl and heatlamp light shroud im starting with.​

DSCN1785.jpgI than cut the shroud in half and made bracket.....
DSCN1786.jpgPop rivited the center bracket into place to give support to what is going to be the new shroud...
DSCN1787.jpgThan fabricated more support brackets and new reflective light shield director....

DSCN1790.jpgOops forgot to take pictures of building the bin :wall:its really simple just line interior with reflective surfaces (i used tinfoil)than cut a hole in the lid of bin for my big a*s CFL and homemade reflecter. I also need to add my Co2 setup and fan on switch and some vents that can be opened and closed... that will be done over the next few days im also thinking of either stacking bins to make the internal grow space larger... Or find a larger bin but this should work for now..

IT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL TOGET A THREAD GOIN ON THESE GROW BINS OR STEALTH BINS (MINE ISENT REALLY STEALTH)THAT WASENT MY GOAL... BUT LETS SEE WHAT U GOT!!!​
 
its funny i would come across this thread, i'm actually in the process right now of gathering supplies to make a stealth vegging rubbermaid and a flowering rubbermaid perpetual grow. and at some point i would like to make a cloning rubbermaid. let me know how this bin goes for ya

Will do man, yeah i think thats gonna be my next project. A cloner im so freakin tired of the guess work and disapointment of findin out 2 out of 3 are males: ( What are you plans for you cloner?
 
Come on people show off what you got! Normally people cant wait to hijack peoples threads with what they have buit and how well there plants are doing lets see!!
 
well i def needed the fans it was getting way to hot in there​

DSCN1807.jpgand took two fans from it and hooked them to a 12 volt output power supply i think it was for some small electronic device...
DSCN1808.jpgcut a hole in the lid and screwed them down and make sure there pointing down also i beleive since the outlet for the air is around the light that it also helps cool the light this cfl gets pretty hot normaly but its felt a good bit cooler now:-p


OH I FORGOT I REALIZED I SHOULD HAVE TURNED THE LIGHT LONG WAYS ON THE TOP OF THE BOX FOR BETTER COVERAGE​
 
Only thing I'd worry about now is when flower time comes blocking light through those fans. If you keep the box hidden in a dark spot though you'd be fine.

na i flower in my closet setup im currently flowering one female in there now thats why i built the veggie bin its strictly for starting seeds and vegging.... that way just about every month/month and a half i can harvest its working pretty good im gonna post some more pics of all the plants i got going in there now i was hopin this thread would take off a little better but i guess well see it would be a nice source of tips and tricks for all the stealth and small growers out there.....

I have 6 17w 24" growlights @ 7800k from Walmart. 4 are mounted on the lid and I'm mounting the other 2 on the sides tomorrow. I'm planning on building an entirely Rubbermaid grow system (1 fogging cloner based on a slick DIY I found on another forum, 2 veg boxes and 2 flower. I would love to re-post it here, but well...as I continue to gain more knowledge. I'm still trying to decide how I want to mount CFL's in there. The thinking behind the complete Rubbermaid grow is that it will be completely portable. Plug and go. Starting to learn more and more about LST.

Those are 3 GrapeApe's and 3 Snowcaps.
 
Ok i just added a simple timer to my veggie bin so no more 24 im going with 18/6 now i started the bigger plants on 12/12 before i built the veggy bin and it actually seemed to make the plants nice and bushy with branches starting at each of the tightly spaced nodes on most of the plants

Heres my veg/grow box, the pic is for when I'm vegging, the video is when its setup for grow time... I'm in the process of building a PC veg box... have everything sitting here to do it... I've just been lazy...

looks good lyke a byrd lets see some green in there lol .... but really well thought out little grow cabinet i like how you did your ventilation and that light moves up and down right?:?:

thanks man, yeah the lights are move-able, I can move it inch by inch or cm by cm...

heres my one little girl, I have 3 seedlings in peat pellets right now as well.... those will be out of the germ tray and in party cups by the end of the day...

lookin nice man how do those peat pellets work i used them years ago for a vegtable garden that i wanted to start inside. and seen some at the local walmart on sale real cheap so i guess my question is any complaints or problems you have encountered using them?
