this is my thrid harvest and every time its time to pull the plant there' s no density to the buds. ill have a 6 inch cola and it only was 1g .

any ideas

ps what kinda bud has a pine flavor???

More light, and/or more nutes. What's the pH?

Fresh & uncured, typically has a pine-like taste.

The amount of flower you'll produce is based on the amount of foliage which receives enough light.

A bigger plant will tend to produce more the bigger it gets.

ok heres the problem i cant add any more lights right now because my cab heats up to much.

i was running a hydro organic under 8 23w cfl and the plants never got over a foot tall and grew into one bud.
it smokes so smooth and has a ok punch but you dont taste the heavy pine flavor untell you blow out the smoke.

i was tring to keep the plants really small by flowering the before pre flower.

There's a good chance that's your problem. Shorter plants make for popcorn buds. How do the root balls look? Also, how close are the lights? 1-2" is optimal. A fan is basically a requirement.

ok heres some pics of one of my grows. i dont have pics of my latest because i was so disappointed in it .
but anyways the first pic is a cola of one of the plants that i said only weighed .1g this pic was taken 4 weeks before the harvest.
at the time i was running a hydroponic top feed.
watered a 15/min per hour. twelve 23w red spec. bulbs
used age old bloom at 1/2 oz per gallon one mil organic bat guano 1.0 mil, one mil superthrive per resovore tank
the temps ran all over the place near the 90s so heat has been a problem .

the other pic shows where i place my lights in conjacent to the canopy.

but to get back to my point the cola for being a month out to harvest looks like itd have at least a little waight .
right???

Your lights are facing the wrong direction... optimally they're like floro tubes... the series of ridges pointing at the plants. You also have no reflectors... you're losing a 30-40% yield increase with no reflectors! Also side-light them. If you got space put a light or two in the middle of plants, surrounding the light(s). To coin an analogy, make your plants a donut-shape, and your lights the grease(cover uhm!) Or surround the plant; one on each 'side'(pick a number greater than 2, triangle, square, pentagon, etc.). Y-splitters work great for this. As they make hanging CFLS cast a lot of 45 degree light, as your leaves are hanging around that angle, parallel to foliage is best!

Also 6500K supplemental or even 1 to 1 would be ideal. 2700k are 'powerfully weak' in the blue spectrum.

so your thinking that my problem is pretty much lighting then. theres enough fans trust me my cab. is like pressurized when you open the doors.
