My babies look sick. Can you help?

Here are a few pix of what is going on with my two Blue dream. I dont know what is wrong with them. Maybe one of the readers will have an idea??? The person that I got the clones from had a hps bulb blow up in the garden a few days before he brought them to me. Could it be a chemical burn of some sort? Transplant shock? I did trim a lot off them when I got em. Any help is appreciated.

There's a good chance that this bud was subjected to nutrient solution burn. These symptoms are seen when the EC concentration of hydroponic solutions is too high. These symptoms also appear when strong nutrient solution is splashed onto the leaves under hot HID lamps, causing the leaves to burn under the solution.

But it could be a number of things.....Look at the site provided and maybe you can come up with a solution based on what you have been doing in the past and what you are doing now.

Not thinking its nute burn. There hasnt been any nutes added to them. Came to me as clones in potting soil, then I transferred them into my soil and havent added any nutes. I dont know how they were treated before they got to me, but I wouldnt think that anyone would add nutes to clones.

They appear to need Potassium. If that's the case, here's what they might look like if the problem progressed further:

They do somewhat look like that pic. Shouldnt my soil have enough Potassium in it? I have only had them for a few days though. Roots looked kinda small though when I took them out of the cups the were cloned in. I only say that because when I get them they were like two feet tall already. Almost looked as if my buddy clipped off a whole damn branch and sprouted it. Would surprise me lol. I had to trim the shit out of them. The lower foliage looked way worse. Would a Potassium deficiency have to do with the extreme leaf curl also? Almost looks mutant.

Since you said you didn't add any fertilizers to your soil, it very likely doesn't have enough K. It probably wouldn't have enough of much else either, meaning Potassium deficiency is just the beginning. I don't see you going over what's in your soil in this thread so I can't be sure.

Try to avoid trimming leaves showing deficiency damage. The plant would be feeding on them to survive. Removing them before fixing the problem will cause the plant to just feed on other leaves, in addition to needing to heal the cuts made.

Potassium deficient leaves often curl downward. It isn't usually in the new growth but I'd still give them some food before trying other things, and not just K either. While K def may be showing first, the plants need all three macronutrients and the micros as well.

In addition to the soil mix you're using, please post what lights you're using, amount & frequency of watering and the temps. That kind of curling can be from a heat and/or watering issue.

I have been using the same soil for previous grows and have never come across this. I am using a blend of Fox Farms soil. They came to me like this. I dought its from something that I have done. All I did was trim them up and transplant them. This is a CFL grow and I water them when they need water. Depends on what stage they are in as to how much I water them.
