My attempt on cloning

Alright, I tryed cloning before like 2-3 times, never got them to root. So this time I went to HTG store to get a little help and some stuff to try once again to take clones.
Will be attemp to take cuttings from a Super Silver Haze plant that is supposed to be a female, she is at the flowering tent for 19 days, so sign of pistols or balls yet, takes up to 12 weeks to finish.
So filled a bucket with 1 gal for clean water, added 10 drops of HOMEx, ph'd the water to 5.7, and but the rockwool plugs and a airstone in the bucket. To help I got Jump Start to foliar spray to help with rooting. Going to use 30ml per Liter of clean water (like the bottle recomends). The plugs been in that water for like 2 days already. Going to use ROOTECH rooting gel.
For lights I have 2 54watt 6500k 4 foot Sprectralux High Output T5 Fluorescent Lamps.
So tomorow when SSH wakes up, I'm gonna cut a few of her lower branches.
Anything I should be aware of before doing this, anyone ??
I have two question if anyone could help me:
1) Should I scrape the end of the cutting before dipping it in the rooting gel or not??
2) Should I cut the tips of the leaves?
I seen pictures of people doing thes two things when taking cuttings.
Will post pics of my work tomorrow when done. Wish me luck, I really need it.

what i did and i will say this was on a plant that everbody told me that will die..
1-- cut 45o
2-- scrape the frist 1/2' to you get the green off and see a hard white or yellow root.
3 dip in gei or power
4-- cut the tip leave to about 1/2'" to 3/4" of the leaves
5-- what i did is gut a computer tower and place a 2" computer fan on top and bottem intake and outtake with 2" 100w clf. place the cuting in a dome and let the temp hit about 90 i got root in two day's.

I'am building a new veg/ clone room, so i add some of my soil to my clone dome so the three plants can live a week more untill i'am done. Never plant no more them one plant in a pot

Alright, it's done, now just have to be pacient and hope for the best.
If I don't get this right, I'm going to buy a Ez-Clone, tired of trying and trying and getting nowhere.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

CLONES NEVER ROOTED, I suck at this cloning thing.
But not giving up yet. Before I spend 300 bucks on a EZ-Clone, I did a home made cloning chamber. It has 20 360 degree mini sprinkers. I still need to get a stronger pump and the 3 inch net pot with the little round black foam looking thing, forgot how it's called, too stoned right now, lol.
I thinking about adding a fogger too.
Anyone ever built or tryed using something like this before ?? Did it work good ??
