every thing seems well didnt use the fart fan last night ,didnt need it.i guess heat will not be a big issue for me cuz its outside and it gets chilly these nights turned the fan on around 10 this morning cuz it is fucking hot out right now.been thinking after a little reading maybe i should have put the babys in smaller pots for a while before they went in the 3 gals. it kinda seems like over kill of light in there right now. i was also thinking about puttin them under a 600w until they get a little bigger to save energy what do you guys think

what do you guys think .. i was thinking of replacing this, idont know how old 1000w magnetic ballast , with a brand new 600 lumatec digital with maybe some kind of flouro side fill lighting cfls or tubes. seems this would be extremely more efficient with no sacrafice. but then again this is my first indoor grow, so what do i know

What kind of light are you using, 1000W? what do you want to replace it with, and will you be cloning any new girls or adding more plants?

set up looks ok.
stick with the nutes u got, no point in buying new if these are ok(only 1 way to find out).
same goes with ya ballast, see how u get on. no need to burn money so to speak.
u'll undoubtedly have unforeseen issues later in the gro.
better to have some money on hand for that, eh?

hope this helps

ef.

I think you will be fine with the 1000, or you could use the 600 if you have it. Definitely will save you on electricity. And with them being so small the 600 would do fine for now, and maybe even into flowering. However the 1k will do you much more justice for flowering, with that amount of plants in that space. I think your fine with those size pots at this point. As long as you keep them healthy and nourished, they will grow right into them in no time. Everything else looks good. As far as nutes, the ones you have are just fine. If you want you could maybe throw in an additive or two for flowering, just an idea. Otherwise your off to a great start. Love the setup and best of luck on your grow. I'm rooting for ya. Peace brotha.

Your setup looks nice the way it is, I would say you would be best off sticking with what you have unless you encounter a problem.. Make sure to keep an eye on the ph. Your nutes are probably fine, if I remember correctly they might be a little shy on magnesium, one of the most common nute mistakes by growers is magnesium deficiencies, so dont be shy to add a little epsom salt...
Also I would recommend some mollasses when growing in soil during the 2nd half of the flowering cycle...

I think you will realize that no matter what it will be worth it to at least flower with the 1k...
If you already have the 600, it would work for vegging I think without any negative effects... Some cfls on the side never hurt either...

If your serious about growing the 600 would be perfect to start some new clones or seedlings under once you get the first batch flowering under the 1000... Harvest every 6 weeks instead of every 12...
