I am doing my 1st 12/12 grow. I was curious when do I start the light cycle of 12/12? I mean when the seed sprouts above the soil or even when its still under the soil?

If your not pre-germinating, might as well not run the light till it breaks the surface. Warm moist soil is all it'll need till it breaks.

I already germinated the seeds. they were sprouted already when I placed them in soil.

So you have a sprout and your cool with someone saying to give them a week or 2 of dark? You do know a plant needs light to grow right? Might want to do a bit more research on plants needs.

they germinated under paper towels. so the have sprouted already but not above the soil yet.
