What kind of light is that?
Get some more lights around it, use cfls and a grow light. I have 2 plants going with 6 cfl and 2 grow lamps on them. Plus it looks like you need to enclose that thing a bit to keep some heat in and around it.

its a 40 watt plant light... i really dunno if its da righ 1 or not but where i have it its enclosed by door. i try to keep da light 2-4 inches on it. but ill take wha eva advice u give.

For sure get some more light on it, get some styrofoam sheets from home depot or lowes and build a little cage for it, get about 2 or 4 cfls on it, the grow light wont work the best unless you have more light, i tried the grow light thing last year with failure and i was a bit ticked, i would also get some more seeds,, from Nirvan or attitude seed bank. dont bet it all on 1 bush. and get a fan blowing on the plant it will help strengthen the stem.

and another thing them grow lights get a bit hot, i have a tube flourecent and a regular one like you have, the tube dont get real hot but the bulb does. Thats why i say to get some of those CFL, daylight ones they are, about 8 bucks for 4 at home depot.

yeaaa i wasnt tryna bet it all on 1 bush i was juss tryna learn as i go so i can eliminated da mistakes as i get ready to go again. so as far as the flourescent tube goes how many watts do i need or how many ??

so as of now i need...
tube flourescent
styrofoam sheets
atleast 4 cfls
seeds

anythingn else ??

Get some ligh sockets that plug into an outlet like a power strip, and a power strip is useful. the get those light sockets that screw into the plug in light socket they allow 2 bulbs per socket, and you will need some duct tape to hold the styrofoam together, if you have a shelf or something in the basement you can use that and surround it with the foam. its a pretty low budget set up, which i have been using also and it works.

You could stick to using that grow lamp you have for now man, jusst get those cfls and you will be alright.get a cheap thermometer also so you can check the heat. I keep mine at 80 with the fans running. You should be good to go, its a very basic set up but for a first grow it will be fine. And as you go you can always fine tune it a bit here and there you know.

The main thing is getting light around the plant so it aint streching so much. And making a decent enclosure for it. Hope i helped.

And get rid of that watering bulb...It won't give the roots an even watering. You need to have water moving thru the medium and out the bottom. This pulls air down around the roots...very helpful to a growing plant.
