Mutant leaves

Two plants I’ve got growing, look ok other than the fact both have some mutant looking leaves. New growth seems to be okay. When I see mutant leaves I think ph issue. Have calibrated the pen to be sure and also feeding a few seedlings which all look fine. Maybe it was just slightly out and needed the calibration.

Am I right in thinking that’s usually what is the cause of some mutant looking leaves? Just the ph might have been out a little.

Ur not wrong in saying Ph is involved...think that's all we know.
Recent experimental results in the field of developmental and molecular plant biology emphasize the role of chromatin remodelling in the coordination of overall gene expression patterns associated with developmental switches

The developmental switch from a differentiated and resting cell state to a dedifferentiated, dividing, embryogenic state likely involves the general reorganization of chromatin structure, overall reprogramming of gene expression, as well as cellular metabolism

so that's where im at in a short mutation search...i just like them and take pictures...dont really care what causes em. hope this helps but i dont think it will. Maybe a certain Ph is asking for trouble and actively introducing those cues or 'switches' mentioned.
