Is it only me or does anyone else have a radio or some sort of music for your plants.....Im on 8am to 8pm lighting schedule now for flowering. As soon as 8am hits the light turns on and the music begins to play. I usually play some old classical or some easy listening....I may be a nut but I truly believe the plants enjoy this.:hump:
 
haha... I was wondering the same thing... I had a radio siting in my grow room so I said why not. I have it on 24 hours a day though... why do you have it for 12?
I play R&B and HIP HOP for my plants. because on mythbusters crazy hevy metal rock worked best... even though their experiment kind of sucked...
so I couldnt find a hevymetal rockstation... So I figured rap would work. haha
 
i play oldies,classic rock,and alil bit of rap,i have to be drinking for that,lol
im not sure if it does anything at all,but now its just part of the program,sun comes up and im out there doing my thing and there bobbing there heads,lol
 
I just figure they would want to sleep the other 12 hours.......I wonder what music they tend to like the best
 
on mythbusters they tried saying nice things, mean things, clasical, crazy rock... I think thats it. talking bad or good was ok. rock was best... clasical was kind of dead... haha
do you think they can feal it? or absorb soundwaves like lightwaves? since light and soun d travel the same just at diferent wavelengths?
 
well they are living things so I would not be at all surprised if they can benefit to it in some way....
 
k ima let them dance to rock this week then next week I will change the station to something else and compare
 
could that be why my plant looks so confused? sshe fell over in like three different ways, so there are leaves coming up at all different angles. i've got it in my closet which is close to the comp, and i'm always playing different kinds of music...big speakers, so it's definitly still loud in there....


oh and slightly serious question, why would it fall over in the first place? and should i just prop it up w/stuff to keep it from doin that anymore? cause like, i don't wanna break the roots, and the more it grows the more it'll unbalance itself again (just a little 'un right now, like..a week or two under cfls. so little).
 
you are not a nut,,i play sounds for my girls alllll the time,,sounds like waterfalls,,birds in morning,,ocean waves,,,jungle sounds,,,incan flute,,,and Fearless,,by Pink Floyd,,just program windows media,,and it's on while there up,,,or am I nuts too??

do they like certain sounds more thanothers?
 
i think hole is nut's myself,lol...j/k hole,,,i might have a screw loose myself,but im not crazy..atleast thats what my shrink says,lol.makes sence to play outdoor sounds,hmm..i think i have a cd with those sounds on it.when my kids were born my wife used to play classical music and had bought a bunch of dif. cds....ras
 
I used to have thoes machines that only make noise... I cant sleep without noise... that didn't help... T.V. yea.
people say I'm crazy ... but only I can hear them.

I'm not sure if they do or not,,I heard it was good too play music for them,,as is talkin to them and touching them,,long as ya got no hermie dust on ya from outside,,hehehe,,well,,they are naturistic sounds,,,and everyone says givem there enviroment,,,,Pink Floyd coulda played in a field somewhere sometime,,LOL

what color crayon??? thats the important part right?
sounds good... so posibly... some animals purpose is to help growth with their sounds... or plants adapted to like the sounds they hear.
 
well,,think about it,,yur closet is silent,,cept for the whirring of fans,,,in the wild,,they hear birds all day,,sacatas buzzin all day,,crickets and owls and lions and tigers and bears at night(Dorothy would like it)hehe

they also hear tractors sometimes... and chainsaws. and bananas... and monkeys... and... dirt
 
I'm pretty sure they don't like two way radios,,just like the one's,,,THEY carry:evil:

I used to think that bank wachovia was called wach ova ya because they watched ova ya moneys
... O'K. yea they hate radios I asked... they said their terible!
