Muddy soil...

if I have a rather muddy area....if I throw grass seed down will that make the ground less 'soggy'?...there is a wee bit of grass there now..

is it muddy all year or are you anxious? it needs drainage. grass may use up some of the water. or fill in the area so it is higher than surrounding ground.

cattails will wick away a LOT of water from the soil but they also use up a lot of N.
