What is Seattle Style Brats? Just the name makes it sound good.

QUOTE]

Seattle style brats. Its the name my buddy called them when he was in the service on the west coast. Not sure if thats official, but...Basically, grilled brats, carmelized onions. You grill the buns slightly, add cream cheese to both sides of the bun, add the brat, smother with the carmelized onions. Can be messy, but damn they are good. Still can't decide if I like them better or regular style brats with ketchup, mustard, onions, and sour krout....mmmmmmmm!!!! And damn they were both good.

Good luck in Iowa this week guys. Spartans!!!

A friend came over and smoked some MyMI. She passed out! She turned white as a ghost and went down for the count. Later, much later, and after some munchies she called the smoke 'Michigan Creeper', lol. Maybe it just got a real name. 'Michigan Creeper' - I like that, rolls off the tongue easy.

Menu for Saturday. Grilled bacon wrapped shrimp with garlic butter, baked parmesan asparagus for the main part. I'm thinking some kind of brownies made with canna butter. Chips and dip. pretzels. What I like is everything can be prepped early, then thrown on the grill and oven.

Go MSU and yes, I'll take the points. They'll win straight up... I hope.

EDIT-Here are the recipes:

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

20 large shrimp
10 thin cut bacon strips
1/4 c. melted butter
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Celery salt
Preheat grill for medium heat.
  1. Cook bacon until done about halfway. Uncooked bacon takes too long to cook when on the shrimp.
  2. Combine the melted butter and the following to taste garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt.
  3. Drip shrimp in the butter mixture.
  4. Wrap shrimp in bacon, and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Lightly oil grate, and arrange shrimp on grill. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. The shrimp should be done when the bacon is fully cooked.
Asparagus Parmesan

10 medium fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
4 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt

1. Brush asparagus spears with oil
2. Place on a baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Bake. Uncovered, at 400 degrees for 6 minutes; turn asparagus. Bake 6 minutes longer or untilk asparagus is tender.
longer or until asparagus is tender.
4. Combine Parmesan cheese and garlic salt; sprinkle over asparagus.
Or for larger amounts combine Asparagus and oil with a dash of salt in a large ziplock bag and leave overnight.
With larger amounts it will take longer to bake.

ouch! That game stung a bit. Oh well, doing alot better than I thought they would this year. To tell the truth, I thought they would lose 3 games this year. Thought they'd lose to: Michigan (ugghhhh, I know), Northwestern (State always struggles against NU), and Iowa. I was right on Iowa thus far, I just didn't think tey'd get their asses handed to them that bad, I was thinking 7-10 pt game. Still a tremendous season going though. Bring it you "golphers".

"Pardon me if I'm wrog Sandy, but if we kill all the golfers, the're gonna lock us up and throw the key away.

Gophers, not Golphers, the brown furry little rodents.

Oh we can do that, we don't even have to have a reason." -Caddyshack

LOL, MyMI Michigan Creeper got my brother last week. lol. He came over and had a couple of beers and while consuming those adult beverages he chowed down on some homemade sweet potato pie made with cannabutter... He spent the night.

Hash! I haven't had hash in a very long time. I should learn how to make it.

Go STATE! Kick some butt.

...I'll have a seat saved for you...you have to bring some MyMi Michigan Creeper to sprinkle this hash on though...lol
...oh, one more thing on the menu for the game...A WIN!!...

...I make bubble hash...it's simple if you have access to good trim...it takes alot to make alittle...but all you need is ice and the bags
the bags are expensive, but if you shop around you may find a cheaper brand....I paid about $130 for a 4 bag...then you just need a drill and mixing paddle like for paint and 5 gal bucket
if you ever think of trying , PM me and I'll help you out...it's nice to get something back from what would of been scrap...and that MyMi trim will probable make coma hash:bigjoint:...

Just got in the door and turned on the tube. Looks like State is winning. Now all we need is UM to beat OSU. Go Blue. OMG, I can't believe I just said that!!!

Just beef jerky. Is that considered food?

Good win, scary at the end when Robinson tried to run the ball out, but still a win. Joke with the family over the weekend is, can you really root for Michigan if it meant a trip to Pasadena? Only one person said they could. Hope all had a good Thanksgiving!!!

I was so disappointed when UM lost. Yes-yes, I did root for UM. Next week I'll root for anyone playing OSU or Wisconsin. Of course, I'll be root much louder for State. I think my remote will be getting quite a workout. lol.

Hope everyone had a great holiday.

that defenseive coordinator needs to go, thats ridiculous to have that many problems on defense.
We need a Michigan guy, Harbaugh at Stanford or Miles down at LSU.
