Hey guys, could you help me think of some way to be able to hang oscillating fans on some sort of frame so that i can adjust the height of the fans on the wall.

This would be for 16 inch wall mounted fans. I thought i could use the same kind of unirail i used to hang my lights to hold the fan and be able to slide up and down. just not sure how to best secure it

bust the springs off the spring nuts so it slides up and down easily, the springs catch on the holes in the back of the strut channel.

Run a screw through the back of the spring nut, a touch of red locktite on the threads right up by the head of the screw, this will keep it locked into the spring nut (sans spring). Then you just use a wingnut to hold the fan to the spring nut/channel. Zoom in on the images I posted all the info you need has been provided.

24 inches is too big for my room. ill have to think of something to mount a hurricane or 16 inch fan like that

Maybe just mount the hurricane fan bracket on a strip of plywood and then use that with the spring nuts on the strut channel.

The basics can be anything really...pole and U-Bolts with a few wing nuts would work prob.
Now just guessing the basic fan setup you have is where its screwed in 1 spot on a wall...repeatedly for all the others.
Pole in pic can be any length you need to alter the heights...loosen wing nuts, adjust, tighten wing nuts...done.
Either screw or bolt pole to wall.
And no laughing at my perfect paint skills...lol

Honestly, it seems like space is at a premium and pretty much any solution will push the fan out farther from the wall. You may just want to try and get some extra hangar brackets for the fans, they die all the time anyways so buy twice as many as you need and have backups. Use the extra brackets to have a high and low hanging position.

I have some of those hurricane fans in my flowering rooms and they do die a LOT. It's rare one makes it through 6 months, so having spares is good. I just keep taking them back to the store and exchanging them.
