Mother at max height help!!!

Hi I have a mother plant that is basically at the max height allowed for the space it's in. The very top is actually getting singed since it is now touching the floros. I plan to take clones from this mother in about a week and then will dispose of the plant entirely for logistical reasons. Can I trim off the top few inches of the mother? Will the plant survive? Like I said, I really only plan to keep the mother alive for another week before being cut up. Thanks for any help!

you should top the mother plant. just make the cut above the desired node, i ever topped a few plants on the 2nd and 3rd node, but i would recommend making the cut above the 6th node or so.

just take a clone off the top of your mother plant.

Cool, thanks for the info guys! The top is a little burnt so I'll probably just throw the top part away.

Ya I just topped my plants recently. They look fine when I cut them. And they all have new growth. Check out my blog on the topping method I used.
