more smaller plants or less bigger plants?

Worked out I can fit 16 11 litre pots or 10 18 litre pots into my growing space. Which would give me the biggest yield? Thanks.

it's six of one, half dozen of the other really.. smaller plants will obviously give a smaller yield per plant, but by running more of them you make up the numbers..

it's really about personal preference, and if you're a card holder, plant limits come into play a lot as well.. and if you're not a card holder, some people would rather run less but bigger plants in case shit goes down you're only growing fewer plants..

more plants because you can harvest quicker :p

that makes absolutely no freaking sense. how does having more plants make it grow faster? i went from 21 plants to 12 plants in my aero system in the same grow space and same lights and my yield was larger, buds looked better, and trim time was cut considerably. different styles for all.

less veg time on smaller plants:wall:

i would compromise. a medium amount of plants in medium sized pots. id honestly do 16 plants min per 1000 watt in a minimum of 3 gallon pots to maximize ur yeild

less yield. try a perpetual and then you are always the same amount of time.

I tried that, and I like it in theory but man, it just seemed like it was so much work. In my case it was because I only have 1 grow space, and running two different light cycles in tents in the same room became a bit of a headache. When I decided to veg everything and then flower everything all together, life got a whole lot easier.
Still, I like the idea of a plant always coming up due to chop and hang. That part is great.!

if you are starting from new seed gentics give everything a run with 3-4 weeks veg in 2-3 gallon pots. make your selection of dankest females by clone all strains before flower and then do a 7 gallon run on them with a 6 week veg.

Typically a SOG (lots of small plants) will yield more in less time.
Big plants are better for legal reasons, and the route I prefer to go.

There are always exceptions to the rule.

It really depends on how long you want to wait 4 your bud. Larger plants take longer...it's not rocket science.
Harvesting lot's of "trees" indoors can be messy, tiresome and not space efficient.
It's really up to what YOU want, not need.
I personally chose SOG :) :weed:
GdLck!
