More mushroom woes~

well, having not had a day off in almost two weeks I had planned on casing my fully colonized substrate bags today. When I looked at them (for the first time in a few days) I noticed I have not only pins but a few small fruits developing in the bag. These bags are suitable for invitro but that wasn't my plan... any suggestions??? do I just let them fruit in the bag for the first flush??? My confusion never ends it seems

ty any and everyone for any help you might be able to offer~

figured maybe a pic or two might initiate some responses.... I guess it would help if you guys can see what I'm talking about~ lol

Now don't get me wrong.... I know seeing mushrooms is a good thing of course... It was just a surprise change in plans and now I'm not sure what to do:(

I'm kind of torn right now between just running the first flush invitro OR removing them from the bag and placing them in the FC.... my confusion and lack of knowledge just keeps getting worse....lol~

Explain what the fck ur talkin bout im boutta start growin these got the saringes on the way. What is flushing and are u asking should u try and transfer some of the mycelium to a different substrate or what and what was ur original plan. Indestail if ya dont mind like cand u just bust the stuff inside the bags up and put it in dif things and let em keep growin with the white fungi till its full? My bad askin mad questions just was kinda wonderin some shit

i dont know man once you go though a flush in vitro they may not survive for a second :( you might be screwed you got that many small fruit over night or something?

just google PF tek then google popcorn tek that way you can get an idea of the basic styles, flushing means fruiting basically, you get several flushs of mushrooms or waves. you harvest a wave or flush of mushshoom then more grow.

So after the pf tek is covered in white mycellium u just bang the shit out whole and do what with it? Can u break it? I think i seen a pic of a dude putting it on little square of tin foil on top of a layer of perlite? can you do tht?

with a little liquid courage I went with my gut.... took them out of the bags... vermiculite base and coating of the "cake".... FC is maintaining 75F and 90%rh in climate controlled room... Hoping I didn't just screw this whole venture up....lol~!

* it probably wasn't overnight Poly... just been an insane 10 days at work... haven't been checking in on them:(

did you try pming canndo? im kinda at a loss on this one ive never done bags.

I didn't.... I'm starting to feel like I'm annoying people with my abundance of questions... I honestly wish I could post anonymously....lol! I'm just trying to grow some mushrooms.. I dont want to piss anybody off.... and having said that Poly.... you are TRULY the man.... always a gentleman and the first to offer a helping hand.... VERY cool... and I wish I could hand you a bunch of mushrooms when this is all said and done...lol!

ypu probably can :) but anyways ill thing it will turn out alright your yeild might suffer a little bit and keep an eye out for pins that abort below the casing layer for the first flush at least maybe add a little more casing layer on top but they will probably survive and do alright, you put the side that was fuiting more towards the top right? oh well to late to change anything now.

yeah you can do that pf tek is baby steps not the best method but a very basic method. when it comes to breaking up mycelium most people like to do that ot cakes to create more suface area to fruit but yeah you could do that or you could do grain and then case it. or hell even buy premade bag and fruit it right in the bag. theres a lot of info out there i learned from the anarchist cookboook from jolly rodger a long time ago, shroomery.org would be a great place to start though. if it was me and i was gonna grow some shrooms from some actual spore i bought(not like the last batch where they where given to me and i was just playing around) i would buy the syringe and and pre sterilized bag germ the mycelium in the bag, pop it out the bag spreadt it out on some perlite and case it with some vermiculite like my buddy did here except i wouldnt let them fruit for several days unaware lol.

yes sir.... I just kept them the way they were in the bag... and as far as more verm on top... I also have bags of pasteurized casing soil which I never used due to the "rush" of things today.... should I maybe put some of that on top? If I get a harvest.... you just tell me how and I will send some to you...lol~ ty again my friend.... you're a true asset to this commuinty

yeah put a little on top keep the moisture in. just pm me when there ready, no fears here! and thank you for that comment most people would disagree.... and no problem at all man just glad to be of some assistance

trust me Poly.... thats a done deal!!!!!!!!!! gonna put the casing soil on now... would it benefit to put any on the sides as well??? I have a lot of it...lol~!

i know you got a lot but you will barely need any i would use some then seal it up and put it in the freezer and boil when i was ready to use it again.

just make the layer about 1/8-1/4 inch deep cover up any exposed white.
