Hea everyone wanted to know what you Guy's think about molasses. I never really used it can I use grandma's unsulfured robust mollasses.
what's the difference between black strap or robust

black strap has less iron in it I think

folks are pretty divided here about molasses. I think it's good for them once in a while but never overdo it.

I used it ,constantly, on a Pitbull and didn't see good results like I did when I didn't use it at all with Space Bomb, White Widow or Blue Dream. This round, I'll try only once or twice during flowering and at 1/3 Tbs. per Gal. of H2O. Same 3 plants as well. Also trying super-cropping during budding! Worked well before, do it again, I guess.

I feed molasses to my vegging plants every 10 days or so, and every feeding for flowering. It's an amazing compliment to the garden. I start out at tsp/gal then move to tbs/gal as they get big. I brew the molasses for 24-36 hours to naturally raise the Ph.

I used it on a grow from start to finish. I got really bad bugs and it made no real difference. You also dont want to use Grandma's it is the wrong king. Use Botanicare Black Strap it is for plants.

I use molasses during my feed/watering schedule. feed, water/silica, water/molasses/silica, feed. been doing 1tsp, used 2tsps last time. I have no idea if my plants like it or not. they are very happy tho, I know this for sure.

Molasses... it's one of the most misunderstood soil amendments to canna growing. And the bogus info that's constantly spewed about it on the internet drives me fucking nuts!!!

FALSE: adding molasses to your soil at the end of flowering helps sweeten your buds. Bullshit! Bogus, ignorant, old wives tale, idiocy!

TRUE: adding molasses to your soil at the very beginning of your grow (and even before you start the germ process) is quite good. Why? Because...

Molasses is a set of complex sugars that feeds and populates the beneficial microbes in your soil. It is these bennies that breakdown the organic matter into their more basic elements that your canna plants can then absorb as nutrients. Canna is NOT capable of directly absorbing these carbs themselves. That's why plants have this remarkable phenomena called photosynthesis. Plants must create their own carbs (via photosynthesis) because they can't physically absorb molasses sugars (or any carb).

Please help stop the ignorance!!! I'm trying to do my part.

Peace.

MJ growers are not the only people doing this either, lots of general gardeners use it as well. It's good food for your soil for sure.

ezgrower is 100 % true, but still disagree some. yes its sugar for sure plants use that. but if you add a shit ton of it, in late flowering when you flush im talking 1 cup per gallon yes the buds will smoke much sweeter , little trick , last 3 days of the flush add those drink flavors to the water like grape or cherry and those buds soak that up and will and do taste like that. its very cool ! try one

why would i want , my plants to taste like flavored drinks? never put crap in the last weeks of flower! i grow great strains, and taste far out great! and would never add stuff to change the flavers, that's just crazy
