i did it the entire time. 2 tsps for veg, and then ramp to 2 tbsps by the end of flowering. it really does work wonders on plant growth, more noticeably on bud size

i have seen molasses mentioned before. are you talking about the same stuff that i use to make bbq sauce and make cookies with? if so how much do i add. i have 4 plants, bag seed, 6 weeks into flowering. i'm content, but if molasses will make the buds bigger, i'll try.

I use molasses in the third week of flowering till I harvest at a rate of 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. You can mix it with your water or mix it with your nutrient cocktail. Just alternate where it is every other watering. Pretty inexpensive where I get it. I pay about under 20 dollars for a gallon of south pacific molasses but it helps having a 10% discount at one of the hydro stores as well. Molasses has several purposes: 1) it is a mild fungicide; 2) it provides your medium with soil microbials beneficial to your plant; 3) the complex sugars in molasses has a tendency to fatten up your buds and also increase crystal production; 4) in some strains will make it taste sweeter.

Molasses is typically used in the final 3-4 weeks of flowering. It is an easy way to boost sugar content in the buds and, when used properly, will result in tastier, sweeter buds as well as increased essential oil production. If you don't want to use molasses or are unable to find the right kind (blackstrap is best), you can buy sweet solutions made especially for gardening applications. I use "Sugar Daddy" made by Technaflora Plant Products because, in addition to the sweet stuff, it supplies essential amino acids.
