Hi, I am currently about 48 days into flowering on my Big Bang. It has been doing well but I had a slight mold problem I just noticed.
I think its minor but please let me know. I know mold tends to spread and all but my growing conditions are 70-80 degrees with 35-50% humidity
The mold I just noticed today was only in one place. It was ONLY on dead leaves and only on the part of the dead leaves that were touching the soil. Some of the very first leaves which dont get any light anymore due to the plant being huge now have died. Some of them wilted so much they are touching the soil. The only part that mold grew was on the dead leaves and ONLY on the part touching the soil. Normally id be very concerned about mold but I assume this is just from the combination of dead leaves and since leaves aren't usually touching soil that probably increases the moisture quite a bit for that part of the leaves. I tore off all the dead leaves with mold and a few that were touching the ground a little that didn't have mold and cleared off all the dead leaves and mold and put it in the trash. Should I be concerned about this or is it normal to have that happen when dead leaves touch the ground? Could it be a sign of a more serious mold problem later? This is my first grow so I have no idea, I am just thinking its probably just due to extra moisture caused by contact with wet soil so its not a big deal, but please any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
Ohh yea and the mold was white and fuzzy, if that makes a difference.
