It could be powdery mildew but not mold that early in the grow.
Do you use h2o2 in your res?

Well I will take that as a no...
H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide. It eliminates concerns about things growing in the rez or medium.

he means hydrogen peroxide (h2o2)...get yourself some of the horticultural grade 35% h202 and follow this guide for application !

Around the 2nd week, you might start seeing little tiny white specs on your rockwool. Do not panic, that is salts, mineral salts also called water salts. They are harmless.
I went and looked but you didn't have a pic, but from the description, it is your water salts.
Could it also be a Mycorrhizal fungi? I am not sure if this is the case or if these are truly beneficial to marijuana plants but it occurs naturally in soil all the time.

I'm gonna rule out that it is just salt build up. I was just confused because it was collecting on my hydroton and roseman didn't mention anything about salt building up on my rocks. But thank you everyone for your input. I've done my homework but I still am a first time grower so i might have a few more questions in the near future.
