Very interesting post. Would This be the same thing as far as it really isn't doing anything, if one was using the product Sweet and using house and garden nutes?you shouldnt use molasses every watering, it will lower your soil PH over time and cause lockouts. Im going through this problem myself right now.
molasses is really only for feeding benificial bacteria and microbes in your soil that break down organic matter and feed the plant. the molasses itself really has no nutritional value for plants. if your feeding with synthetics than molasses really isnt usefull and will more than likely do more harm than good especially if you dont have the soil biology to break it down.

You bring up a very important point, molasses is all but worthless for Promix or soil less peat growers. However, it does contain quite a few minerals and trace elements and will enhance a grow when used properly. I once did an experiment with Grandma's molasses, 2 years ago. I didn't think it was possible to overdose an in-ground 8 footer, so I tried a full cup in a gallon of water. The photo doesn't do the disastrous results justice, took me a month to correct the N lockout...now it's 1 Tbsp/gal every other watering. I treated the imbalance with a balanced approach, a 5-5-5 granular...worked but again this was in-ground in a wetland of all places.

Many people use carbs of some sort all thru the grow with no issues-- all depends on the medium used, the nutes used and the amount of molasses used... make SURE it is unsulfered....
and use 1/3-1/2 the 'full dose" until the last 2-3 weeks of flower & flush...
It is what the plants store to use in the final days of flowering--
usually, they use photosynthesis up to a certain point to produce, use & store their own carbs--
but if carbs are supplimented- they have more to use easily the last weeks of "plumping up'...
and if they are well fed, and flowered long enough-- they should start to either go yellow, gold, red or purple (if temps are lowered) or just yellow the last 2 weeks--
just like outdoors in Autumn- it is the plant using-up it's chlorophyll reserves..... a good thing & mellower smoke!
I have seen her dropping all kinds of mis information. Telling people to chop there plant and put it in a dwc for a few days to flush it. People are so stupid sometimes.the plants dont use molasses at all.. as far as i have read at least. feel free to correct me with a legit article if you would like that proves my statement wrong.
im no ttrying to be a douche but i think you have aquired some false information and need to go do some reading and straighten your facts out.
