Molasses good for fresh clones?

Will freshly cut clones (no roots) benefit from having a drop of molasses added to the water? I'm not buying rooting hormone.

No don't do that. carbs are for fungi, not plants. Plants produce all their own shit. Rooting hormone maybe a little micro nutes and some sort of silica if you must. Past that you are just harming them probably.

What is in the packets they give to you with fresh roses? Why not molasses.

I am pretty sure the pack they give you with roses is meant to PRESERVE their beauty, not get them to root out and make a 100 more roses. Food for thought.
