as potroast said, ebb and flow can be done, but don't try it in a system with small components.

I don't know much about hydro setups to be honest but i do use molasses and i do know that molasses goes rotten after a couple of days of being in the water bottle even with an airstone in it so i can only assume that i would also rot in a hydro system.

If this is not the case let me know why as i was led to believe that the same water is run around a hydro setup for days and days if not weeks,if this is true why doesn't the molasses go off?
