Should i go 375w of CFLs mixed between 2700k and 5000k or go with the Sun System 150w HPS mixed with a couple 5000k CFLs for veg cycle?

That's not a ton of info but, I would say go with the 150W. I am a modest grower as well. Have you considered a T5 tube fixture? I do use CFL's but not start to finish.

I used CFL from start to finish last time. I'll be adding light/lights on my next one. At this stage I'm not sure what I'm buying for sure. I found the CFLs very easy to use as they're lower heat. It depends on how much space you have, growing medium, number of plants, style of grow, genetics. All of those factors are relevant.

My current grow I am using CFLs for veg and then switching to my 600W hps for flowering.
The spectrum on HPS bulbs is more for flowering I think?

Get a HTG Supply 150W HPS, it's like 85 bucks with delivery, and it's got fairly even coverage, and a remote ballast. I used to use CFLs and now i got one of these. It runs pretty cool, and you use the light way more efficiently than CFLs.

I am totally voting 150 HPS

HTG is great...if you're in the States :P
They dont deliver to Canada...managed to find a Sun System 150w system...150$.....:(
Im just wondering if its better to veg under CFLs since HPS is 2700k.
I've put in the HPS last night and already I can see the leaves going updwars instead of verticaly.
Wont the 2700k light stretch them?
