If you are a MMJ patient, legal in AK, who needs help getting started growing post replies in this thread. Do not buy anything until you do and we talk. If started buying and you really aren't sure then buy nothing else until we talk. You can buy everything you need for a nice deep water culture hydroponic set up with stuff from Wal Mart, Pet Smart or Target stores and pay $50 for what retailers charge $200 + S/H for.

I do not charge anything but insist on confidentiality. Mat-Su and Anchorage area visits, others by e-mail.

Stopped by for a hello is all. You know I'm in soil and obligated now. Good to see activity from the Greatland at RIU.

That's considerate. Selfishly I hope more of us stop in here. I'd like to get to know fellow frontiersman. We're a rare breed and I see only a few of us here.

Had to go indoor with the weather. Grew outdoors many years. Can be done here but with cover only. Greenhouse basically.

On my wish list is a solarium. Have the perfect location. Got to re-roof and paint before that happens. I can put time or money together. Rarely both at once but it happens. It would give me a real sweet set-up. Major home investment. See them around and the best ones survive this harsh weather many years. It would give me a true 3 season area. I'm very curious due to our sun cycles how the veg and flower would go naturally.

go with attitude: breeders TGA Subcool, green gage genetics, hazeman seeds, maddfarmer seeds, especially! bodhi seeds if your luck enough to get some, sweet seeds, and seedism, thats my 2 cents.

If open to new breeders check out Dinafem. Every single seed I have ordered sprouts, grows and yields well. Current White Widow Auto is a good example. First auto I have ever grown.

A friend tried Secret Garden "ogre" and has had great success until the moose got em. He says next year will be electric fence.
If the moose are like the elk in CO you have have to multi-strand the fence with 2 chargers. The suckers learn fast to s-t-r-e-t-c-h that neck and gobble. Newbies to electric fences - some chargers, after discharge, become "dead" while an internal timer resets. Wild game, especially some bears, learn to recognize when the juice is off and take advantage of it. Dual chargers makes this a lot less possible. I keep thinking of in the trees after seeing some of these other posts of bags in the air with grows going on. Have to figure out rigging as I'm too old to be slapping on tree hooks and shinnying up a tree.

I'll let everybody know about these Paradise Farms' "Vertigo". Claim 55 days seed-to-weed. I have 5 in a DWC and they are for sure not going to finish in that time frame. But have 4 in soil (seedlings) so I will see. Another grower told me it is kickass stuff and surprised him. I haven't had any yet.

I really want to try and test out how DWC would work for me, perhaps try a 1 bucket and see how I do. I use fox farm ocean forest soil and fox farm nuets also.
