Also, looks like your state is way cheaper than mine. The website says $50 for the application.

I have been searching. I guess i should've been more clear...what i would like to get info on is if anyone has had experience obtaining a card in Reno, which doctors are more open-minded towards writing the recommendation, how easy or difficult it is to qualify, etc...

Go to the Nv. health division website it tells you but this is what I did, I live in Carson City. Go to the Health Dept. (4150 Technology Wy Suite #104 Carson City) Request in person an application and pay $50 for it. Make an appointment with the doctor to get the physician paper signed. Get two papers from the packet notarized. Take the fingerprint card to the Sherrif's and get fingerprinted. Turn everything in with $150 and you get temporary status until you get a letter from the Health Dept. that says you are good. Then go to DMV and get your card.
...and be allowed by law to do nothing legal with it. Nowhere, not even the state that took your money and gave you the card.

You're correct. Keep your head low and don't let them catch you on the roads smelling like weed or they'll bust for DUID. Stay home and don't have contact with nobody. This is why we need to legalize for all here and get rid of the "are you sick enough to have weed" thing. I wrote my local rep to support the bill above this post but my guess is we'll have to do it with a voter amendment since these fucking hicks up here in N NV are about 50 years behind the rest of the world... er most of them are hicks.

I live in Minden NV. which is the Carson Valley, my doctor in Carson City Nv. is under investigation cause he has giving out to many referrals,according to the Medical Board or Carson City. he is the only doctor between Vegas and Reno that gives referrals, plus he is my primary doctor for my high blood pressure and he takes cash, so if, he is forced to close, I get screwed twice. I was told you can't just get a refferal, need to be a established patient, so I'm screwed no heatlh insurance, unemployed, so I don't think I will be getting a referal in Reno. unless you buy state health insurance but that doesn't happen until october or november 2013, then I guess can get a referral. until then I guess I'm screwed. don't have renew until May 2014, had my card for 4 years now, so I get grandfathered in.

Well, I hope it isn't my doc. He writes recs for people but not like those other clinics. He told a patient just the other day that he sees 30-35 patients a day and does 2-3 recs out of them. I don't see that as an abuse. I hope it's not my doc, I'm sick of looking for decent docs. He's also funnier than hell.

this whole RENEWAL thing is bs in itself.. its a chronic or dihabilitating disease to even get a card. Does the state think we are going to get better in a year , or just hoping we get lazy and give up on renewing.? our cards should last for at least 4 years. or just legalize it completely. and whats up with registered gun owners getting mmj cards.? talk about grey areas.
umm,.. da fucks my mmj card got to do with my guns, or vise versa? right wing bullshit propaganda's got you erroneously connecting dots even putting those two in the same sentence, let alone grey area. doesn't take a chronic or debilitating disease to get a card either, like most things in life all you need is money and common sense.

it clearly asks if you smoke pot when you get a blue card for your pistola. Like you cant smokpot and own a gun at the same time. and then the same state give a mmj card to someone. its just a hypocracy in the law is all im pointing out. And money isn't worth a fuckin thing. Its a promise that your going to give that person or persons something later. paper isn't worth much if you think about it. common sense is though.

if they make you renew, they make money. thats the bottom line, its all about the money, why do think, it took this long, they final figured out how to screw people over and make money at the same time, the money for the program is all ready spent, why do you think there is a 6 to 8 percent tax, right from the get go,at the new dispensors, they want thier money up front, and were going to pay. like a thousand dollars a year to get your cultravist licence, for what to grow 12 plants,and no garranty that the dispensers will buy your crop, to pay for license, plus they will keep records of who is selling and how much and how much they payed and how much is coming in, so don't think they wouldn't cover there own ass.in case they get raided,they got to have a paper trail and records, now that where you get screwed by either your amounts sold or how much income you made. so the irs and feds are both going to be watching hard once the money ball gets rolling. I think I'll pass on the whole xxxxxxx thing and go all in on going off the grid.

I really don't think 1k to be able to grow is that much...look at it this way, I'm sure most people smoke more thank 1k worth of weed in 6 months (like a month for me but I smoke way to much) ur still saving money..And if ur worried about people not wanting" ur product u need to work on the garden more or invest in new genetics, my harvest are typically gone b4 their chopped...
