@Roger A. Shrubber Any idea where to get nutrient safe gallon jugs that are new for a decent price?

Right now I have it slightly elevated, and hanging about 10% off that shelf (CLOSE to the ground :P). So I just rock it back and forth, then tilt it forward to pour.
You could use a board, 2x4, shelf, cabinet, etc.

I'd still prefer Roger's idea. I just haven't found containers for a decent price. Figured I might just buy a sample pack of nutrients and re-use those containers later.

honestly, you may have found a problem. i just looked on amazon and e bay, they both have food grade plastic gallon jugs, but the prices are retarded.....i was just thinking about using water jugs, as long as you keep using the same one for the same thing, i don't see why it would be a problem. light exposure is the only potential problem i can foresee, and that shouldn't be a big problem. just put a towel over it, or store it in a closet.

why not use a black 5-gallon bucket with a black lid, and use something to stir it with? black will block the light out, and there are way too many 5-gallon DWC grows on this site alone for them to have a big enough effect on the nutes for it to matter. i personally use a 2 foot section of black pex hose with end caps on it to stir, but it works just as well without them.

How about using a large air pump and a couple of large air stones? I usually mix nutrients up in five gallon batches and instead of capping off the
jug and shaking it I've found it really seems to mix everything up good using just the air pump and a couple of air stones in the bottom.
