Hi guys just looking for some advice with mixing nutrient brands when growing with an NFT system,i want to use Plant Magic root stimulant with Dutchpro HYDRO/COCOS do you think that would be ok....cheers

Blue Planet Nutrients sells Root Magic. Its the mycorrhizae powder. If that's what you're talking about, its compatible.

Having spoken in great length to a Dutch pro rep in my local grow shop they recommend not mixing their line with other nutrient lines.
I actually started asking him scientific questions about the chelated aspects of the products and why they wouldn't work with other nutrient lines.
Needless to say he didn't have the answers I wanted but basically said that in order for Dutch pro to work efficiently you need their whole product line fed at their recommended EC levels.
Otherwise you could be asking for deficiencies etc.
Their root product is such that it helps with the high EC feeding schedule that Dutch pro uses.
IMO I wouldn't mix and match with Dutch pro. I have found it very difficult getting guaranteed analysis % to see what's actually in their products. Their bottles don't even carry an NPK rating on them.

Base nutrients can be mix and matched as long as you avoid redundancy. Reps and store owners tell you not to because it is not as profitable. Usually, feeding schedules are too strong. I have found very few lines that merit spending on all the additives when they can be made for far less. The root stimulant is likely beneficials, kelp extract, and fulvic acid.....all of which are low in npk. I don't see how it would matter.

you can mix any nutrient but it can be complicated to find your recipe if you dont know what you are doing. as general line,avoid high% urea/ammonical nitrogen nutrients in hydro. Ideally you should have 100% nitrate but 5-10% of ammonocial should be good too. every hydro nutrients are probly fine for soil/soiless but the opposite isn't true. most «organic» additive contain N as urea/ammonium.avoid organic in your rez/rootzone except fulvic and maybe seaweed in low amount. if you want to start with a good complete base , check for jack peters hydro. they sell calcium nitrate to complete it. very good 2-part nute for hydro, probly the most cost/effective and IMO the best. It's clearly the most underrated hydro nutrient.

I mix nute brands. I have been using Botanicare Grow, Bloom and Berry Sweet, GO CalMg+, Cyco Potash ans Swell and Humbolt Honey. I have had no issues from mixing nute brand. Personally I do not like the Dutch nute line.

In my case I was talking about mixing brands and not getting a full nutrient profile.

I HAVE USED DUTCH PRO FOR YEARS base only no pk or other additives...just bennies ....works great!
still as J said i would like to know the NPK etc lol it could just be tom food in their bottles lol
does anyone thinkDP can effect taste?

I've never personally used it but have smoked buds that have been grown with it (cheese to be exact) it was flavourful.

ta for trying......imo they should be labelled any other DP tips from the DP guy....can you expand on there high ec nums....
I think DP is ok as long as one of you is gettin head, no sword crossing cuz that would just be strange, I encourage high fives, conversation, and chemical stimulants to truly have a good time, think im talkin about a different DP tho, maybe not, just puttin it out there

Yes.
The high EC I'm talking about is
1.6-1.8EC during 2 weeks veg from seed or clone.
Then stretch is like 2.2EC
Flowering is like 2.4
Peaking at something insane like 2.6 or 2.8.
Then any leaf discolouration spray with straight LEAF GREEN.
Its crazily high EC's IMO.
My current mainline run has seen me using my current base nute at a higher EC than I've ever run before at 1.8 but I'm just out of the stretch phase not still in veg lol.
Normally I don't have to exceed 1.4-1.6EC and I still get +400g harvests from my 400w setup.
