Mixing nutes

Hi everyone

So I've been having some problems with my PH and nutes.
I'm pretty new so still getting the hang of it.

I'm running a alien rdwc system

So I've just ordered a RO system.

I realy need to get more disaplined with my schedule and not rushing it.

So my new plan is to fill my res with RO water on a sat and leave to sit with a couple of air stones in overnight.

Sun I will add my nuterients and calmag.
Will add cal mag to get a base EC of .2 then micro, grow and bloom.

Will let these sit again overnight to mix

Monday morning I will set the PH let mix for a couple of hours and then fill the system.

In-between res changes I will top off with PhD RO water.

Does this all sound good or have I made a mistake somwhere.

i would add calmag until i read 0.4mS

why dont you get soft water line of ghe tripart ?

I've just bought a 5l soft water micro.

If I'm using the soft water micro will I still need to add calmag or will there be enough in the base nutes.

I've only just got a 5l hard water so will that be ok to use and just add the cal mag back in.

Had a bit of a panic when I realised what's wrong and now probly over thinking it.

Better over think on here where I will be set strait that mess the girls up

i dont like calmag because it do not buffer the water properly

hard water nutes are designed to bring down the ph of hard (buffered) water
using on RO they will give you under ph 4.0 after mixing

you will still need ph up .. with soft water nutrient after mixing you always get 5.5-6.2mS

Was a bit of a rush desision to go RO but my tap EC is between .6 -.8 so think it's my best option.

its a bit high but you can still dilute it with some RO... to get 0.5mS which would be perfect

Yeah I have seen some people mix RO with tap water bit was unsure.

When way I was thinking was all RO that way I'm starting with close to 0 and know exactly what's going in there
