Mixing nutes with additives and adjusting concentrations - Ca deficiency

Hey all,

I've used FoxFarm's big 3 (Big Bud, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom) in the past with great (or at least acceptable to me) results. I've moved to a part of the country with reportedly the softest water in the U.S., and have begun having calcium deficiency problems. I need to add a calcium or cal/Mg supplement to my feeding regimen and need some guidance on how to go about it.

:leaf:If I go with a cal/Mg additive, will the additional magnesium (FF products contain Mg, no Ca) cause any toxicity or lockout-type problems?

:leaf:Will I need to adjust the concentrations or feeding schedule (I currently follow that published online by FoxFarm) if I include a Ca/Mg supplement?

:leaf:Would you recommend adding molasses, and if so, would I need to decrease other nutes further since it contains macronutrients (avg. NPK of 1-0-5 from what I've read), or will it's chelating ability buffer my grow sufficiently?

:leaf:Lastly, do I need to worry about calcium precipitating when mixed with other nutrient solutions, i.e. should I mix the Ca/Mg solution separate from my general feeding solution?

Oh, soilless mix indoor grow, unknown indica-dominant strains (Indoor Mix from Nirvana), 18-6 under 400W air-cooled MH, beginning week 4 of veg, blada blada blada (let me know if I left any pertinent info out).

Thanks in advance for any guidance,

SL

Adding some lime to your soil mix would take care of both the Ca issue and prevent any pH problems to boot.
