Mixing Bloom and Veg Nutes... good or bad idea?

My 3 Girls have started going into flower the last 2 weeks and i am still planning on feeding Veg nutes for a few weeks.
I have read people saying that " mixing veg and bloom nutes together can cause a lockout of certain nutes" how true is this?

Does anyone else sucessfully feed both nutes simultaniously to there plants??

Thanks in advance

I did not, however, I fed my veg nutes (24-8-16) 3 weeks into flower, with some other stuff (0-15-11), and I had no problems.

Thanks I'm trying to get the feeding schedule right, can I feed every second day?

My current veg schedule is feed Tuesday water Saturday, im not sure if it's enough thou.

I was thinking of feed veg Tuesday water Thursday feed flower Saturday and so on

I've heard of guys doing a water, water, feed, or a water, feed, water, but myself, I do a water, feed, feed.
My schedule is usually every 4 days, but I had to water last night (3 days), so she might be starting to drink more.

well i cant answer this question with anything but common sense..

all nutes have a N-P-K ratio, this is the 2-3-4 on the label indicating the percentage of nitrogen, potash and phosphorus

so your veg nutes will be something like 5-2-2, containing more N because thats what the plants use the most.

your bloom nutes will be something like 2-4-4 because they use more of the other 2 and less Nitrogen.

either way almost all nutrients contain all 3 items some you will find a 0 in the equation but generally they have all 3

so why would mixing them lock anything out? i do know potash can lockout some stuff but im not really sure on what.

if you want my opinion, look at your bloom nutues, if they have any nitrogen in them i would just start feeding the bloom and cut out the veg as your prob just wasting by feeding both.

if they dont have any N then i would feed them 75% bloom and 25% veg, so if your using 4 tsp per gal go 1 tsp of veg and 3 tsp of bloom.

my 2¢

are the plants showing sighns of deficiency?

if not then no need to feed more. with nutrients, less is more. unless the plant is yellowing or showing signs of other deficiencies then there is no need to change anything. the plabt is not going to grow any faster if you put more food in. it will get burnt to shit and grow slower though if you put too much.

They started turning yellow from the bottom up indicating a nitrogen deficiency, although they only started turning yellow when I had to lock them in my shed cupboard for 3 hours when I had visitors over, before then they were looking great
So not to sure if a deficiency caused the yellow or if it was from being exposed to high humidity in the shed.

I would have to say that was coincidence, like your other thread somebody said the same thing.
That WAS you, wasn't it? Had to put out in shed due to company?
