Hey there!

This journal will chronicle my legal medical grow. I'm growing perpetually, with a 2x2 cab for veg and two small flower rooms. Each flower room utilizes full spectrum lighting, one with a red HPS plus blue quantum boards, and one with a high blue Phillips CMH plus red quantum boards.

Grow Spaces

VEG:
2'x2' cabinet, 150w QB (4000k)
FLOWER 0: 3'x5' room, 315w CMH (4200k) + 250w QB (2700k)
FLOWER 1: 4'x4' room, 600w HPS + 250w QB (4000k)

Genetics

Sunshine Daydream and Girl Scout Cookies

Feeding

Maxibloom
Ammonium Sulfate (N)
Calcium Nitrate
Flower Fuel
Recharge
Crushed Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid)

I have two plants in flower room 1 right now, one Sunshine Daydream and one GSC. Both plants. are currently at F15. The sunshine really spread out. I had some light burn issues with the GSC in late veg that kept it smaller. With my rooms now properly setup, those problems should be a thing of the past. :bigjoint:

I'm loving these Sunshine Daydream genetics so far. Easiest strain I've grown so far. The plant tells you when it's had enough light. I have her set up right now where she's drooping after ~11.5 hours of light. Perfect. She perks right back up in the morning. See ya in 12 hours!

Salicylic acid is not the same thing as aspirin. Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid. Still good for plants from what I read. Never used it before myself. Interesting.
Thanks for the information! I only use it in veg in the occasional feeding at 1 crushed per gallon. Seems to be good for overall plant health.

Four clones of the Sunshine Daydream rooted and showing new growth. Just cut off the clipped fans. Some are showing light or nute burn, so I moved my QB up to 32" from 28". Could also be extra salts in the coco I reused. Will feed them at less than quarter strength around the edges when I see the coco dry out a little more. I want to try and draw their roots out looking for water.

These will be going under the CMH/QB setup in room 0 within a few days.

Here's a canopy shot of the Sunshine Daydream at F16. It's big, it almost touches the edges of the 4'x4' itself. I vegged this plant under my CMH. Just look at those monstrous dinosaur leaves around the edges. I've been defoliating in the middle for the last week, about done now.

Aspirin do for your plants?
balconygardenweb.com said:
Aspirin contains an active ingredient known as salicylic acid. It is derived from willow bark. This acid enhances the immune system of plants (Plants prepare it naturally but in lower amounts) especially those in the nightshade family. Plants subjected to it get the boost in immunity power, which helps them in combating with pests and microbial attack and prevents the formation of fungus leading to increased growth rate of plants.

The cookies is quite a bit smaller, but REALLY frosting up. I might try to clone this plant again.. but my previous two tries did not take. This one is harder to grow, much pickier about light and nutrients than the sunshine daydream.

6x sunshine daydream clones! The three on the left are immature clones taken at the end of veg. The three on the right were taken a few days into flower. You can see the difference in the leaves. Interestingly enough, one of each set is struggling. We'll see if they pick it up.

If healthy, all six will be going into the other flower room ASAP for my first scrogged monocrop. 8) I'll do a run of four if I can't get them all stabilized.

Sunshine Daydream, smooth sailing at F28. No real issues, just bulking up. Feeding a low strength 1 - 2 - 2 formula 3x daily, modified to cut out extra nitrogen. That's why the older growth is darker. The paler green around the flowers is the perfect sexy shade I want to see at this stage.

SD at F32! Just fattening now.. another month left. I'm seeing some purple come out on the leaf edges. Hoping that this turns out to be a nice dramatic pheno. I've been running an 11/13 light schedule since the second week of flower.

The clones for the other room are finally taking shape. They took much longer to root than expected.. will update soon.
