Mites

Anyone have any type of revolutionary ideas of taking care of spider mites beyond the standard spraying of water, nim oil, and reduced temperature?

After a long struggle, I finally totally got rid them here. I don't think it was what I used, but how I used it. I tried a lot of things, but the mites always seemed to come back eventually. This last time I just used neem... but I was VERY thorough (tops/bottoms of leaves, stems, and even the soil around the plant). I did it every three days, repeating five times. It's been a month or more - NO sign of them. I think in the past I did things that killed mites, but not eggs - and by being a bit loose with my schedule (going 4,5, or 6 days sometimes between treatments) I allowed new mites to hatch, then lay new eggs.
So, my advice is to be VERY thorough and VERY consistent - every three days; no excuses, no exceptions.
I think another factor for me was that I did this particular session of treatments at the start of a new run. The plants were small, and it was easy to really spray every part of the plants.

Sure... good luck. I know they can be frustrating. I was starting to lose hope.
BTW, if you see any mites on your computer screen, give it a good spray with neem. ;)

pyrethum tr bombs work great, also use clean air purge with bio neem in between applications! I have not see A mite in almost 5 months and all I am using now is the clean air purge and the bio neem.

here is the schedual I used to kill A mass infesation... Monday night after light's go out bomb and the clean air purge runs all day and night. weds night bomb again, fri night bomb again and this whole time the clean air purge runs contiuously. Now onto week 2 starting at monday when the lights go out use the bio neem on the same schedual as listed above without the bombs.

Remember mites do adapt to sprays and shit so you will have to change it up every other week ( so you might want to have 3 diffrent products on hand). Or get some preditor mites they work also, but give your room time to air out from any chemical's that you have used for 2 week's as they will die!

Ladybugs are voracious eaters and will rid plants of mites.

They can be purchased at some plant/garden shops and also online.
