leafhoppers or baby grasshoppers, i'm willing to bet
99.99 percent sure its not mites, honestly I've never had a mite prob outside, seems the environment slows them down enough, now INSIDE, weeeeellll, me and the ole 8'legged bastards go back some time......
It must be a PH issue put a scope on them and I don't see any critters.I see dying areas.I have FFOF and dolomitic lime and Ph the water to 6.5.Now what?
Steeler and Muknee are right- Thrips. They fly in and out fast you won't see them very often when you have already disturbed the plant. They will cause some damage, but in my experiences they will not subdue a plant. They are small cigar shaped insects, white in color.
that sucks man. i never have luck growing outside dam deer's and bugs eat the plant before it gets big.theres no hunting in our woods so deer's run show lol
