misting

how often should i mist my plants down with my spray bottle?

never mist while the lights are on do it like 15-20 min before the lights come on. The water on the leaves acts like a magnifying glass and the light will burn the leaves. I am working through this MISTake right now

just not during flowering

o craap... i just misted them like 3 times in the pst few hours with lights on.... i dont see any damage right now will i see some soon?

as long as the beads of water are not in a perfect sphere, or the light isnt more than a small drop youll be fine

if they clump together and rest on a leaf for a long period of time shit can happen

after i misted it , the plants dried up like withing 10-15mins which is why i remisted them a few times

if you got good ventilation and a fan blowing on em you prolly cool and never spray an hid if you have the room raise your light up mist em and leave the light up til they dry than lower it back down........ hid's will EXPLODE if you spray em or get em wet in any way when their hot

their really isn't much benefit in misting that much every now and then can clean leaf pors

im using cfls is that the same condition? and yes i have a very good ventilation set up and a fan blowing on them and probably about 80-90 degree temperature in the room they are growing in

not sure but i dont think cfls will blow up on ya still not a good idea to spray em though

i mist my plants as much as possible with lights on during the veg cycle, and the begining of the flower too, but only for a week or so, always have and always will, and there is a difference, did a grow with my buddy's clones, used everything the same as him, except i misted he didn't, mine were way greener and healthier, and my 30 plants produced just less then his 80 plants, and tasted better! the misted ones are always greener! i lift my 400w mh when i mist so not to spray the bulb, turn off my fan, mist them major, let them soak the mist in for few mins then on with the fan and down with the light. as long as there is air movement there is NO chance the leaves will stay wet enough for the magnify'n affect to hurt them, it dries and soaks in too fast. here's mine, they get misted 3 times a light cycle, and 1 in the dark if i can too. not saying misting makes it bigger and better, but it does improve it
