I was just at good ol' Wally World and saw that they have 5 foot by 1 foot mirrors on sale for 2 dollars. Has anyone ever made a grow room with mirrors on the ceiling and upper parts of the walls? Pros cons?

no but that sounds like a good idea i would use white panda film. and mirrors it would be like having more lights.

read somewhere(here i think) that mirrors are not as reflective as white paint & they will create hot spots.
search mirrors here, lots of posts w/ explanitions

Don't use mirrors unless u have no choice, rather use flat white paint if I can't afford mylar, when mirrors reflect light, they direct it, making hot spots, don't be surprized to find burnt leaves, mylar diffuses the light, don't use. The mirros, my opinion

i agree flat white paint, or the black/white plastic sheeting all the hydro shops sell which is very cheap less than half the price of mylar and 80-85% reflective could be used and is a better choice than mirrors as they will cause hotspots as has been pointed out and reflect less light overall
