Miracle grow whats wrong with it?

Potting soil is pretty bad, contains barley any drainage. But there nutes are some pretty good stuff these people have been in the buisness for like 50 years they have an idea what plants want.

Yeah I think the time-release nute based MG soil can be difficult for new growers to work with and that it always looks kinda "muddy" when watered if you don't add aeration. If you live in a medical state you can definitely get better bang for your buck as far as bagged soils, but I see nothing wrong with making do with what you got.

ive had no problems with the nutes or the soil,its like the first guy said,people dont know what there doing and over nute,there soil is very good as long as u dont add more n more nutes to it,or over nute it in big doses,normally i only will give the plants nuts if i notice there needing more,using the soil,you dont ever even need to add nutes for 1 plant grow in it,ive actually used the same soil in 2 grows right now,on second grow useing same soil from first grow,i just added some new mg soil to the old,plants looking great
Yes there potting mix sucks how it comes if you just buy a single bag. I however have grown mg exclusively for around 5 years now. Its super simple. One bag of perlite, one of seed starter, and one of the moisture control. Mix em together and then I dont have to give anything at all for the first 4-6 weeks and no issues.

Ya and I buy high quality soil for the same price and still don't need to feed for the first month or two just like you...Miracle gro works, but why use it when their are so many better products out there just as easy if not easier to use! Miracle gro is for your cheap who cares tomato garden

if you're growing in soil and using miracle grow or any synthetic nutes, I would say, you don't know what you're doing.

...but gheez bro; nutes are relatively cheap given the value of the product you are growing...
..and of course this is coming from a fellow hobbyist that doesn't sell his stuff: ever....so I can relate to keeping cost low, but I dunno

MG is fine, lots of grows grown well with it. The problem is that people who have no experience or desire to actually understand botany (they just want weed to smoke) use it. Then when their grow turns to Shit they blame it on the MG.

I have used and saw many grows where MG is used. 9 out of 10 times new growers use it, and also add nutes early in growth leading to nutrient burn. Its soil loaded with nutes, so no nutes are needed until the plant shows you it needs nutes. On the other hand i have seen grows where MG was used by experienced growers had no problems occured.
Also i think there is something in MG, that can not be flushed out during the last weeks of growth before harvest. This will leave a taste in the finished product.
In my opinion, If you really can NOT find any other nutrients, and can NOT locate any organic soil, then use MG with Caution. But I would suggest spending a little more on a 2 or 3 part nutrient solution than the extra money you will spend on MG soil compared to Basic potting soil.
Walmart carries a soil called " Sta-Green" That I have used for years. Very little nutrients in the soil, so it wont burn seedlings or clones.

Sta-green is the shit! I used it in my out door grow with MG tomato plant food and had AMAZING results. Grew 3 plants in a 5 gallon bucket and harvested a total of 6+ oz's. Not bad for my first time growing huh?

This is my first grow and I'm using MG. She's sitting at 19 days old and no issues thus far, I've also not added any nutes. The MG I got is part peat moss part pearlite and does perfectly
