Mini Plant

Since I like to be prepared before setting out on any endeavors, I thought I'd do a little research on the topic beforehand.

Mini Sativa Plants.

Now I've heard of Indica plants growing small and being easier to manage in a small space, but as I only have seeds of a sativa plant (Sadly unknown strain), I wanted to know if anyone can give me tips on attempting a flowering period straight from the seedling stage.

Here are the questions I have.
  • Bare minimum and maximum yield if I do a flowering period of 8 weeks?
  • What kind of nutes do I want to specifically use in order to maximize health?
  • Should I start from clones instead?
  • And finally is there any estimate on my chances of the plant not surviving?

Thank you, for your time. :weed::weed::leaf::leaf:

Hiya M8,

If I could answer that with all of the variables you just implied, I would have no trouble picking the numbers of the next lotto.

I am scared to even start M8, sorry. You are just going to have to saddle up and give it a go.

Peace and Good Luck

0 and 100 poundz
any kind or no nutes at all, usually quality over quanity
starting from clones is always easier, saves time and you know what you are getting
50/50. I had to cull 8 ak's from the garden today or they would have been too small..meaning, even with centuries of growing knowledge, we can still kill a plant by lack of attention.

Well I will try my best to answer this for you since no one else has but lets start here. Have you read through the newbie section and all the stickies and such? It really is worth is if this if your first time growing. We can help you out to an extent but we aren't going to hold your hand through your entire grow. Making mistakes is the only way any of us have learned, hell we still make mistakes. But anyways that's besides the point. Now on to your questions.

Bare minimum could be 7g's if you get mites, mold, all kinds of things can go wrong when you least expect it. and the max is all depending on if you do any training such as lsting, topping, scrog. You could get anywhere up to a lb per plant if you know your shit but just first starting out I would be happy with .4GPW so lets say you have a 400whps you could expect 160g's. Like I said there are way to many variables and every strain has different flower times so you can't just take a plant of your choice and say I'm going to flower it for X amount of time. A sativa might not even be close to being done in 8 weeks and you would just ruin your yield and your high.

There are so many nutes you could use but I'd suggest for a beginner start out simple, remeber K.I.S.S-keep it simple stupid :D. You could use dyna grow it's a good complete nute or floranova grow and bloom, it's a 2 part. Anything will really work, just read your girls and they will tell you what they want.

You can start from clones yes if you are worried about speed as they don't have to start from a seed and you can flower straight from a clone.

I have no idea if you will kill a plant or not, that question I can't answer. But we here at RIU sure can help you out.

Best of luck to ya and have fun!

Jesus I gotta stop getting stoned and start typing a reply to a thread. I have been typing that for the last 15 minutes haha.

I see, so I shouldn't attempt to control the flowering cycles time span... I'll focus on just keeping it alive and in great shape then. Thanks for the help guys. I'll do some more research, and see what I can find on my own.
