I just built my own mini ebb& flow table w/ a 10 gal resevoir and I've got 8 net pots in there w/ some short plants only 2 wks into veg, after pruning I think they'll have OK space judging by their mothers' sizes right now... They seem to be growing much bushier (more out than up) than their counterparts in soil, and I think 250w would be plenty of light considering i've got these 8 hydro plus 24 in soil under a 400w doing fine.
What are the dimensions of the micro table? mine is roughly 16"w x 23"L x12"h..
This is my first hydro grow as well, and I started off w/ a timer for my pump that only had 1 hr intervals- wayyyyyyy too much flooding the roots- leaftips were warped and saggy, now i got a better timer flooding 4x/day for 15min at a time w/ slightly weaker strength mix of the nutrients and my girls have rebounded beautifully!
Only problem I'm having is its a pain in the ass to check the pH w/ my homeade rig, hopefully your kit is easier.. good luck
