Microscope's and what to look for on plant to harvest. Please help!

I just bought this (pic's below) microscope 60x-100x from radio Shack $12.00, nice price. Now that i have scope, what do i look for in colors of Trichomes and more importantly where do i look? can i snip a piece of leaf closest to the bud with the sticky on it (trich) or will i need to look directly at the bud (flower) itself?? Shaky images are no good when looking throw a microscope so i'll need to put sample on flat surface and a piece of leaf would be much easier to examen then a bud, and who want to waste a bud by plucking it just to look at it ,right? Thanks to all who reply.

I asked this yesterday.

Cut a piece of sugar leaf (the small bud leaves) off the top calyx and put it under your microscope.

The trichromes will turn from clear to cloudy to amber. Cloudy is a more up energetic high and amber is the couchlock buzz...

how does the microscope work? is it clear? does it focus good? if so im gonna go grab one =]

The scope is VERY COOL, it works great, its very clear and you'll see things that will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!!!!! I never knew that the leaf was so complex, WOW!! Radio Shack $12.00 and it has a built in light.

You don't even need to cut off a leaf. Just put the scope on a leaf or a flower and harvest when the trics are the color you prefer.
