microgrow tray watering

Thinking about trying out a 16oz cup grow, but the only thing is I'm not sure I'd be able to water the thing 2-3 times a day. If I were to submerge the cup a little above it's drain holes in water/nutes, would that promote root rot or anything? How would I go about tray feeding anyway?

You'd probably over feed. Set up a small drip system. Gravity fed and super easy to make.

You wont need to water that many times a day. Once a day at most. And yes leaving the bottom sit in water is not a good idea
