Hi all, not new to growing. Past projects have all been learning lessons, PC and other micros. Now my new project is going to be super stealth and lockable. Its a small safe. 21"Wx10"Dx55"H this project is not something I want to just throw together. Also I do not want to drill bunch of holes that end up needing to be bigger or smaller.
My largest concern is fan use with a carbon filter. It is very important that it does not smell. Currently I am looking and 2 -2.5" passive intakes using PVC pipe to block the light. Also I might try to build off of the pvc to divide up and make a mother chamber if I have the room.
For exhaust I like pc fans cause I have always used them, but I have never used a carbon filter. Through reading I hear people say yes and no about using them with a carbon filter. I really like the pencil cup pc fan carbon filter combo, but still it seems as though the reviews are mixed on that. I was thinking 1 maybe 2 120mm pc fans 150-200cfm each. Secondly I had the idea of making a U shape carbon filter two pc fans at the top, carbon on the bottom, both fans sucking out.
Is my intake good?
What should I go with for fan? I want the fan and filter on the inside.
Like I said this project is not going to be just thrown together, I want it to work and be the coolest stealth ever. I figure 6months to a year just for box completion and testing. Funds are low. I will keep all of you updated with pictures later along. So far all I have done is put door foam on to seal the door from light leaks.
