Micro Bubbleponics Cab, 69w's of 2700k CFL's (re-started thread)

Here's the cab -

• ID: 11" x 9.5" x 28"
• 3x 23w CFL's connected to a powerstrip via socket to plug adapters
• One outlet mechanical timer - times cab lights & lights on desk

Bubbleponics system -

• Large McDonalds cup, top of a styrofoam cup, bottom of a XL Taco Bell cup w/ holes melted into it
• Growing medium is aquarium rocks
• Two 1.5" x .75" airstones w/ adjustable two valve splitter per res
• One 60 gal two outlet air pump

The two plants -

• Bagseed
• 18/6 for four weeks, 12/12 for three weeks now
• One is male (I'm pretty sure anyways, hence why it's seperated from the cab)

Nice setup mate! I've got a micro bubbler setup goin at the moment. Had a thread but has been deleted for some reason?got mine setup in a custom PC case with 4x 24w 2700k cfls. Clone from my last plant, some random bagseed.Only vegged for a week now been 12/12 for the last 3 weeks and I have preflowers! So far she's a girl Will be watching this grow man! Keep up the good work

Question do you plan on upgrading resvoir size? A full grown cannabis plant can drink up to 2 gallons a day. I'm curious to see how your grow turns out

Mr Skunky, I plan on upgrading to something, not sure what but I know these rez's are too small, the plants already drink a large majority of the water in the cups. Still being organized, my buddy seems skep. and still has to have a portion of his house constructed to be vented out and everything.. so I'm probably going to go with two 2 gal res's, enough of everything else, a sun systems mini light & some seeds offline..

Other guys I would love to see your grows, & if you do decide to go bubbleponics please do a better job than me, haha.

& here's the new res. Taped off a line, primed & painted it. Cut a hole for the netpot in the lid. Marked every cup on the taped off part, holds 5.25 (4 cups = 1 quart) cups then the water touches the bottom of the netpot

^ so you can see the airstones used - I wouldn't reccomend using 'em haha.

If anyone is thinking of trying bubbleponics, please do it! I wish more people would. It's so simple as far as contruction & maintenance. Pet stores sell pH test kits, as well as pH up & down. My local pet store even sells hydroton! Haha. Nutes - if you're broke, liquid Miracle grow. If you got cash, find a hydroponics shop! This is my favorite online shop - Greentree's Hydroponics (they have EVERYTHING)

Glockdoc - made it. Spent like $25 bucks on it. If that! & everything's from Walmart lol.

Search your house for a small rubbermade/ sterlite container, preferably black, or something that light can't travel through easily. You need an airpump, airline & airstones.. Walmart carries two airpumps, single line $6.77 (rated for 5-15 gal. tanks) and two line $10.52 (rated for 20-60 gal. tanks I believe) they also carry airstones in many variants, very small 2"x3/4" cylinder type stones (which I wouldn't recommend, I have about ten and they all aerate differently) 5" & 10" stones. All cheaper than $3.00. Depending on the size of your rez that you find (or buy from Walmart, mine were bout $3.00 each) you'll have to decide which size stones & what type airpump is best. 25 feet of airline is less than $3.00 also. I used aquarium rocks as my medium (best available) and it works fine, your medium could even be airsoft BB's, a little bag of rocks - bout $3.00 haha. Sorry for using Walmart for everything, but yeah.. everyone has a Walmart near 'em. Airpump, airline, airstones, medium and a rez should cost about $15.00 - $20.00

Netpots are a little more difficult, depending on how many cups per rez you want (I would recommend one - root competition) should depict the size you use. You could use Styrofoam cups with holes poked in them with a pen, or 16oz plastic cups and cut netpot type slots in the sides and bottom, I've heard of people using yogurt cups before. Whatever works, keep in mind that your growing medium, and plant will weigh the pot down so use something strong. Also your plant will drink more water the bigger it gets.. or you could buy some as they cost 'bout $0.38 haha. Whatever you got man! It's easy bro, get back to me if you have anything like such

I cut the male plant down - didn't want my female (for sure now, pistils are showing) to get raped. I'll post pictures in a few, and I'll try to show the pistils, all the little leaves it was growing are twice their size from the last pic

Does anyone know if the leaves branching out from the main stems where old leaves are is normal growth? I've never seen it happen like that before. Also, does anyone know how feminized seeds are made? Really interested in that!

I love growing, not just the fact that I can get weed from doing it, but the fact that it kinda changes your view on a lot of shit. For instance - I use to have my room like 89.9% dark everyday and now it's sunny as fuck, I think you just look at things differently - if you're not just doing it for the weed - but for fun too

yea thats completely normal, dont worry about that at all. only thing is that should be bigger at four weeks.
