Congratulations! Close to 25% of all Americans now live in MMj states.

The more states go MMj, the easier it will be for the rest of us.

Yeah for Michigan!!!

However I did read this:

This measure would allow the medical use of marijuana. Use would be limited to registered patients with certain debilitating medical conditions including cancer, glaucoma, HIV, hepatitis C, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. However, the measure would also allow unregistered patients and primary caregivers to assert medical reasons for using marijuana as a defense to any prosecution involving marijuana.

It doesn't sound as though it will be available for other less severe medical conditions such as aches, pains and sleeping disorders.... or am I just reading it wrong?

it wont be prescribed for anything but those medical reasons, but if you use for some other reason illigally you can use it as a defense in a court, then its up to the judge to decide!!

Ahhhh so I bet the pharmaceutical companies will have their Lobbyist goons running after the big wigs in the Dept. of Health. Heaven forbid their drug sales go down when people and doctors choose mj treatment over their high dollar drugs

Ah well... good job Michigan.... SMOKE UP!!!

Drugs Taught Me Metric!
Southern MI here- literally rock throw from the IN border.

I just read over the entire proposal at work today and it seems well..just search google- it was in .PDF form and explained everything in detail. I don't have a PDF viewer on my home computer and don't feel like fuckin with it or I would post link.
From what I understood, it is pretty much the same laws as the other states. The serious illness shit they described was also followed up with a line pretty much stating, any illness so deemed appropriate by your physician is excuse enough. A number of appropriate "illness's" pop to my mind, just have to make your physician buy it, if your faking.
The PDF also outlined that the Caregiver will be allowed to grow up to 12 plants. The user will be allowed to have 2.5 ounces on them.

If your in Michigan, search google for like "Michigan Proposal 1 outline" or details or something along those lines and read.
